Welcome to my Baking Noodles blog. I picked that name for a reason. In The Matrix, when I told Neo, “what’s really going to bake your noodle later on,” I was hinting that he would eventually come to a new level of understanding.
I gave him just enough information at that time – exactly what he would need to get him to where he needed to go in the Matrix Reloaded and the Matrix Revolutions. Of course, he didn’t realize that is what I was up to. There’s a reason I function this way. We’ll get to that.
Do you remember when Morpheus explained to Neo how I don’t know everything, but rather to think of me as a guide? The thing about guides is they know two things – the destination and how to get there.
However, a guide doesn’t control every detail about the trip. The person they lead has their own choices to make along the way. As a general rule, if you stay on the right path, a guide helps move you to the next stop. If you stray from it, they help redirect you.
The reality is that it’s you that chooses how and when to make your next connection. I revealed that to Neo in our final conversation in Matrix Revolutions. That’s when I explained to him what the sign in my kitchen meant.
Everything in his life led him to that moment with me.
The message behind that Temet Nosce sign, to “know yourself,” applies to everyone. Of course, this doesn’t negate that you have your own reason for being here. Far from it. To know yourself is to find and make the connections to that purpose.
The things that human beings have in common are what enables me to do what I’m here to do – to be a guide. The differences allow you to may make your own choices along your path.
But as I told Neo, I’m interested in the same thing you are. We’re just getting started!
