Why don’t you sit down? I often suggest that.  The inside joke is that it gives you better stability for when I cause you imbalance. That’s my purpose, remember? That whole “unbalance the equation” business, I mentioned to Neo.

What’s interesting about that, is it directly relates to helping everyone find and fulfill their purpose.

So let me tell you a little more about me.

Do I give everyone specific advice? Well, to an extent. I prefer to consider what I say as being what they need to hear based on their current condition. Remember, I am an intuitive program created to investigate aspects of the human psyche.

At least that’s what the Architect calls me. What I’m going to reveal through my blog posts is that I do much more than just investigate things.

As far as my ‘advice’ goes, I base it on the idea that there are certain principles that all humans function around. It’s a system of attributes. So at one level, it’s not complex, as you are all designed around the same thing.

However, everyone’s attributes don’t operate in the same manner. There are more combinations of these than even I can count. This is part of the complexity of what I have to deal with in the Matrix system. This is why I am unique.

My purpose includes helping people understand that system. The first thing, of course, is they need to be freed from the false reality of the Matrix. I like to say that constriction must precede expansion. We’ll talk more about that later. Once someone reaches that point, they come to see me and I get to know them.

Even at a first meeting, it’s an intimate connection. I can then offer someone guidance on navigating the system, in a way best suited to their particular combination of characteristics.

I also make it a point to “meet people where they are at.” I’m a firm believer that true compassion is based on the needs of the recipient and not the desire of the bestower.

For example, I’ll let you in on a little secret from my first meeting with Neo. As his level of understanding was still grounded in that of someone used to living in the Matrix world, I appealed to his senses – literally – all five humans senses.

You know what I’m talking about … sight, smell, hearing, touch and taste:

  • First, I commented about how I was not what he expected to see
  • Then, I mentioned the wonderful smell of those cookies
  • Next, I asked about something he heard me say about the vase
  • After this, I touched his face to examine him
  • Finally, I told him to take a cookie so he could taste how good it was

It was subtle, but all of these things brought a connection between us — one at his level. I get even sneakier than that, in The Matrix Reloaded and The Matrix Revolutions, as you will see.

The collective understanding that I reflect, does enable me to make some very educated guesses about a lot of things. That’s why Morpheus called me a guide. You still make the choice, however, and have to work to understand those choices.

For those who do advance, I meet with them every time they fulfill the requirements of the condition they were in. I then set their new condition for them. That’s what I mean by ‘unbalance the equation.’ Call me an instigator of change.

To better understand what I mean, consider the three discussions I had with Neo, one in each movie.

  • The first time we met, I helped him reach the potential he had within himself to understand he was “the One.” I admit to using a bit of reverse psychology, to provoke him.
  • In our next meeting, on the park bench, I gave him greater insight into what he had to do next, specifically that his own choices were tied to everyone else’s destiny. I set him upon a course of new and difficult challenges.
  • Finally, when we met in The Matrix Revolutions, I shared insight into what it means to “know yourself,” and how that involves a process of meeting a condition in order to attain a new level of understanding.

One thing was the same through all of that. Every time I met with Neo, I said what he needed to hear to begin the next phase of his advancement. This will all lead to his final work in The Matrix Resurrections.

If you go back and closely look at the ‘advice’ I gave each time, it always included some subtleties. Neo, like everyone, had to figure some things out on his own. That’s the way it works. There are no shortcuts.

In our final chat, I told Neo that he surprised me. Between you and I, that comment was also meant as inspiration for him. I believed in him all along.

Have a cookie. You’ll feel right as rain!
