Hello my friends. I’ve entitled this blog entry, “the last exile.”
The pause in production of the fourth Matrix movie, did little to slow speculation about what this film is going to entail.
Some of the questions I often see are include;
- How will this new film connect to the previous ones?
- Will the Matrix finally be destroyed?
- How can Neo and Trinity be alive?
- What purpose will any returning characters have?
I would like to focus on that last question, especially one particular aspect of it – my daughter, Sati. If you recall, she was part of the final scene in The Matrix Revolutions, with the Oracle and Seraph.
She was also referred to as, “the last exile,” by Agent Smith.
Perhaps you have given thought about what that means and have questions. You might wonder what implications this may have. Or if there could be a significant reason for her to return.
The answers to those questions depend on HOW you understand the story of The Matrix. As this Matrix4Humans project reveals, the framework to the trilogy goes beyond the philosophical ideas. These are deeply spiritual movies. Not religion, but very ancient concepts. This is where the connection is found.
We have seen much regarding Neo being compared to a “messianic figure” who will free the world from its current state of bondage. Several religions and philosophies promote this.
However, from those ancient sources, we are told that this final redemption occurs only after something else does. There is something called a treasury of souls in the spiritual world. These souls come into the world, and are placed into bodies one after another, throughout human existence.
There will come a time when the last one of these souls descends. That will trigger a sequence of events that leads to a complete change to the earth and the spiritual worlds – to the Matrix and program worlds in our story.
This last soul is the last exile of the Matrix — Sati.
As you were kind enough to read this far, I will leave you with something few have considered. Do not believe for a moment that Sati’s purpose has been fulfilled. We did not bring her down into the Matrix without a specific reason. She is most important in changing the Matrix and program worlds forever.
The Oracle understood this, but it was not yet time to share this knowledge. Soon.
